If you are a woman looking for a safe, sober place to live in Fort Lauderdale, Liberty House has a home just for women. You will live with about 20 other women who are working on their recovery, in a clean, calm and structured home. Completely Separate From the Men's Home
Liberty House is not co-ed. Our women’s home is a separate building at a separate location from our men’s home. Women live with women. The women’s home has its own house manager, so there is always someone who knows the house and the women in it.
Many women tell us they want a home where they can focus on recovery without distractions. A women-only home makes it easier to be honest, to ask for help and to put your recovery first. Safety and Structure
Your safety comes first. Drinking and using are not allowed in any form, and regular drug and alcohol testing helps keep the home sober for everyone. The structure is clear and the same for every resident:
• Stay completely sober
• Keep curfew and help with household chores
• Go to meetings and work the 12 Steps with a sponsor
• Stay in regular contact with your sober supports
• Look for work, or keep the job you have
Our staff are available 24/7, so help is there even at 3 a.m.
A Community of Women in Recovery
At Liberty House you are not on your own. You will share a home with women who understand what you are going through. Residents go to meetings together, share the work of running the house and hold each other up on the hard days.
We offer 12-Step meetings on and off the property, weekly group sessions and relapse prevention education and support. AA and NA clubhouses are just a few blocks away. Read our article on women’s sober living spaces.

Liberty House is in central Fort Lauderdale, close to jobs, meetings, shopping and the beach. Public transportation makes it easy to get to work and meetings without a car. How to Get a Bed
Getting started is simple: pick up the phone. Call 954-523-1167 and talk with our staff. We will answer your questions, tell you if a bed is open in the women’s home and explain the next step. Many women come to us right after finishing an inpatient or outpatient program, and our sober living program starts where that one ends.
